The amazing Blue Mountains! -
indeed the 'Blue Mountains' are a wonderful spot only 100km east
of Sydney. On November 03, 2001 Matthias took Lore&Birger, Marc and me
with a hired car to the 'Blue Mountains' to explore the
beauty of nature.
In Katoomba, the village from where
the journey was to start, we discovered an old-fashioned hotel and
decided to have breakfast there. It was a very strange place indeed and
after an expensive but good breakfast we left the house and started our
tour.
'The three sisters'
is the name of the famous rock formation. We climbed down many stairs
and luckily Marc did not fall down. Matthias who had been injured several
weeks ago did not show any mercy with himself and walked through the bush
like Crocodile Dundee. The path was narrow and the Austrian guy explored
the numerous caves.
After a 3 hour walk
we finally came to the waterfall where we asked a stranger to take
the last photograph shown on this page. The Australian bush is quite
impressive and this was surely not my last trip to the Blue Mountains.
